Ridesafe Arenas has started work on two arenas at a holistic riding school which empowers children through horsemanship.
We have been commissioned to build a new 40m x 21.5m outdoor arena and new 18m x 15m indoor arena at Think Like a Pony’s new bespoke Centre in Leeds, which is currently under construction.
The two new arenas will enable the social enterprise to help more young people and their families in the area and we can’t wait to get things moving.
Lynn Henry, founder of Think Like a Pony, said: “The impact that our flagship Centre will have on the children within our community for years to come is immense!
“This is our gift to the families of the Leeds community, a safe space where children can develop life-changing relationships with ponies.
“Think Like a Pony is the first child centric riding school of its kind in the UK, which works to empower children through horsemanship.
“We work among the mainstream community by teaching children to ride by building a relationship with their horse and we also work with children who require access to horses for therapeutic benefits.
“Ridesafe have been extremely helpful in offering their professional advice about the possibilities available to us.”
Richard Lewis, who is leading the project for Ridesafe Arenas, added: “Think Like a Pony is an incredible riding school and Lynn and all her team are hugely passionate about the children and families they support.
“They really wanted to have both an indoor and outdoor arena and with our knowledge and expertise we were able to make this a reality for them.”
